We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The right person for this role will be responsible for processing and reconciling accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors, and maintaining accurate records of financial transactions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, ACH/Wire, and credit card transactions.
- Track, count, and deposit cash receipts using on-site safes and counting machines.
- Verify the validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from Sales Department, Customer Service Department, and customers.
- Prepare bi-weekly or monthly accounts receivable aging statements.
- Assist with collections and regularly review AR Aging.
Qualifications
- High school diploma. Associate degree in accounting preferred
- 2-3 years experience with accounts receivable or general accounting
- Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- The high degree of attention to detail
