Tomorrow Street is an innovation center based at the Vodafone Procurement Company in Luxembourg. A joint venture between Vodafone and Technoport (Luxembourg’s national startup incubator), Tomorrow Street is an innovation center focusing on growing late-stage start-ups through the power of Vodafone's global footprint. The company works closely with Group Technology and Group Commercial to find new suppliers that meet Vodafone’s strategic needs (eg. Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, Security, 5G) and hosts these companies at the Tomorrow Street facility in Luxembourg on the 4th floor of the Vodafone building.

Tomorrow Street then collaborates with the start-ups to introduce their product into Vodafone’s supply chain in a swift but carefully managed manner. By identifying strategic new suppliers and managing their growth, Tomorrow Street delivers a game-changing new capability for Vodafone.

What you’ll do

The Innovation Manager will be a member of the consulting resource pool of Tomorrow Street and will be assigned to support specific projects and start-ups. In this role, you will take part in activities across the entire lifecycle ranging from Scouting, Evaluation, and Sales. You will be scouting and analyzing candidate companies, building strategic internal and external relationships, and engaging startups to assess their solutions and company profiles in-depth. Next to that, you are responsible for generating business traction through key stakeholders in the business, building the globalization strategy with successful candidates, and executing this strategy to drive revenue to the startups through Vodafone and the broader Tomorrow Street network. As Tomorrow Street works in an agile and fluid manner, employees work across the full operating model when needed. This means you will need to be flexible and ready to work in the other functions.

The Innovation Manager must build strong internal and external relationships, and demonstrate a strong ability to sell the unique concept of the Tomorrow Street accelerator to a broad range of stakeholders – in Vodafone, Luxembourg, and the wider Tomorrow Street ecosystem. A deep interest and curious mind in future trends, startup ecosystems, and digital technologies is essential. The successful candidate is dedicated and someone passionate with the ability to flex between a complex corporate environment and the fluid and exceptionally fast-moving startup world.

You will

  • Be part of the Tomorrow Street team ensuring collaborative working across teams with a true start-up mentality to deliver success.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders from Vodafone, Luxembourg, and the global tech community to identify key business opportunities for innovation and drive business development for relevant solutions
  • Build and present business cases for the selection of start-up companies joining the Tomorrow Street program and for the governance and process related to identifying, assessing, and selecting new portfolio companies.
  • Identifying new innovative start-ups that support Vodafone’s TechCo journey and development of new Platforms
  • Develop a commercial agreement with approved candidates to become official Tomorrow Street Portfolio Companies and area of specific expertise that contributes to Tomorrow Street. Some examples are Marketing, Fast Track, and Commercial Contracts.
  • Support the Arch team to prepare and deliver a successful event get it done together and create the future.


Who you are

  • Strong collaborative and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust across a wide range of organizational levels and cultures.
  • Solid amount of work experience in the Telecommunications industry and proficiency in sales and business development including contracting experience
  • Knowledge of the ICT sector and future trends (knowledge of Vodafone landscape and global startup ecosystems an advantage).
  • Experience in data evaluation and modeling and supporting the growth of smaller, innovative companies or product lines.
  • Experience of working in an Agile manner and self-organizing. Ability to collaborate across functions and experience in driving generation, sales quotas, sales training, business, and sales operations.
