Summer Success Coordinator 2023
POSITION SUMMARY:
Coordinate St. Clair County RESA’s Summer Success Program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated experience as a College Advisor
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with St. Clair County high schools to identify the highest-priority graduating seniors at-risk of experiencing summer melt and not enrolling in their postgraduate education or training plans.- Administer established communication, advisement, and data collection strategies to provide one-on-one support to students and families to ensure the completion of enrollment steps required to successfully matriculate to a postsecondary education or training program.
- Address challenges and barriers that arise at critical transition points throughout the program that would hinder completion of enrollment process and program.
- Monitor advising progress daily and weekly to coordinate various advising strategies and techniques to increase student engagement and progression throughout the program.
- Utilize data tracking systems to monitor student progression throughout the program’s 12 Steps of Summer Success.
- Prepare End of Program Data Collection and Debrief Reporting with Success Coaches and program’s Supervisor.
- Coordinate and supervise “Welcome Day” at St. Clair County Community College prior to the first day of classes (Classes begin 8/21/23).
- Act as liaison between Success Coach and university/college admissions, advising, and financial aid departments to resolve individual student cases and special circumstances.
- Communicates with Success Coaches regularly regarding progress and any issues affecting the students’ engagement or completion of the program.
- Communicate with parents, legal guardians, and/or family members to build relationships to collaboratively address unforeseen challenges and situational circumstances that hinder students’ process.
- Complete Summer Success Scholarship applications and required paperwork for eligible students.
- Oversee the administration of the Success Scholarship and additional incentives awarded throughout the program.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Employment Date: Pending Board approval and successful completion of employee entrance drug screening and background checks.
Work Schedule: 11 weeks in Summer 2023, 25 hours per week
Salary Range: $40 per hour
