Job Description:

At Fooditive, we are looking for a motivated intern to join our Research and Development (R&D) team with a focus on Fermentation Biotechnology. This is a unique role that, rather than being directly involved in hands-on lab work, requires you to manage and coordinate with our external lab partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain effective communication with external lab partners to ensure smooth collaboration.
  • Liaise between Fooditive and external parties, translating and conveying information accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate and manage the timeline and deliverables of outsourced lab work.
  • Work closely with our R&D team to understand the technical aspects of our projects and relay that information to our lab partners.
  • Help in the development and execution of research methodologies and experiments related to fermentation biotechnology.
  • Assist in analyzing, interpreting, and reporting experiment results.
  • Ensure that all research activities are in compliance with necessary rules and regulations.
  • Participate in R&D meetings and present updates on the progress of outsourced lab work

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain complex scientific concepts in simple terms.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in a research or laboratory setting.
  • Must be eligible to legally live and work in The Netherlands.
