Maintenance Technician [Ireland]


 

Our client, a global leader in the manufacturing industry has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join their team on an initial 12 month contract based in Dublin.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and fix mechanical and electrical issues in equipment using defined problem-solving methods.
  • Resolve process and control system problems in high-speed packing equipment.
  • Monitor machine performance, respond quickly to unplanned breakdowns.
  • Keep stakeholders informed during maintenance downtime.
  • Read electrical schematics, assist in problem-solving.
  • Ensure timely preventative maintenance and report observations.
  • Input and analyse downtime data, develop action plans.
  • Record process parameters, collaborate on defining new settings.
  • Support continuous improvement projects for equipment reliability.
  • Maintain engineering standards, prioritise safety.
  • Assist in commissioning new equipment.
  • Uphold safety, quality compliance, continuous improvement.
  • Lead and assist in planning and performing maintenance tasks.

Requirements

  • Level 6 QQI or equivalent in mechanical senior trades
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position working in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge and experience of making machine adjustments
