Job Title: Housekeeper
Trust: The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
Location: Harlow, Essex CM20 1QX
Pay: £12.02/hr plus enhanced rates for weekends and bank holidays
Shifts: Various shifts available on an ad-hoc basis, up to 5 days from 7 per week

We have ongoing need for Housekeepers at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow. Housekeepers help make sure that hospital wards and other settings are clean, safe and attractive places for staff, patients and their visitors. As a housekeeper you will lead ward services such as ensuring the ward is clean, ensuring a good supply of equipment and providing a personal touch for patients and visitors.
Duties will include:
· General cleaning duties – Wards, kitchen area, offices, waiting rooms and reception areas.
· Cleaning of bathrooms and toilet facilities.
· Emptying bins and replenishing hand towels, toilet rolls & soap dispensers.
· Contribute to the running of all patient facilities and services in the ward, providing a tidy and secure environment and a welcoming atmosphere.
· Talking to and reassuring patients and directing and receiving visitors.
· Involvement with serving meals and collecting finished plates and cutlery.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Cleaning experience
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent organisation skills
- Reliable
- High standard of personal hygiene
- Ability to be on feet for whole shift with some bending and stretching involved
