We are seeking for Supervisors with exceptional skills with the know-how of the industry to assist the Manager in the day-to-day running and onsite activities. This is a full-time permanent position based in papamoa.
To be considered for this position you’ll ideally have industry experience including at least 6 months working in a supervision role. You should have excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) and be able to work independently to reach goals. You must be able to multitask and will be able to complete work in set time frames.
Job Responsibility
- You will be responsible for running a team of people both, permanent and as part of the larger seasonal workforce, in all aspects as part of the job requirements.
- Assist the Manager in running to a budget you will be required to maximize the efficiency of day-to-day operations
- Ensure that successful seasonal horticultural activities lead to a top-quality product year after year.
- Effectively managing and leading staff through compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Management tasks such as preparing/keeping accurate timesheets, creating reports for work, communicating with farmers and growers, HR duties, and staff management/training.
Requirements
- Ideally, you will have 6 months of experience in a supervisor position, if this experience is in the horticulture/viticulture industry this is an advantage.
- Having a management qualification is preferred, but not essential
- Experience in developing and training people is essential to succeed in this role.
- You will be confident in multi-tasking and will be calm under pressure.
- Well organized, goal-focused, able to show initiative, multi-task and make decisions.
- minimum of 30 hours per week of work available.

Salary: $27.00 – $29.00 per hour
