Objectives of the Position
  • Lead the local HR team (except for C&B and Labor Mgmt) to deliver HR services in close collaboration within the HR community, especially with the Service Hub in Kuala Lumpur that takes care of the majority of HR service deliveries
  • Actively engage in organizational development, staffing, talent management, employee engagement, and drive diversity and inclusion strategy
  • Ensure compliance with the applicable legal aspects, internal policies and standards


Main Tasks

HR Operation
  • Oversee HR activities, initiatives and systems
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of payroll, separation pay and pension contribution
  • Develop and execute talent development strategy and establish training programs in line with business needs
  • Manage employee and leadership feedback surveys
  • Provide high-quality HR services and improve HR efficiency and effectiveness (e.g., simplification of processes, automation and digitalization) through close collaboration with the service hub in Kuala Lumpur
HR Compliance
  • Compliance with the tax reporting & payment of individual income tax, and administration & payment of social securities
  • Offer statutory trainings to the employees
  • Compliance with the authority requirement such as procedure, reporting, investigation, and remediation measures
  • Compliance with the internal policies, standards, reporting requirements and delegation of authority
  • Invoke disciplinary actions when required
HR Business Partnering
  • Provide HR solutions in line with the business strategies of the company, in close exchange with HR Business Partners in relevant divisions
  • Manage performance evaluation, talent management, data analysis and HR reporting
  • Participate in management meetings as HR counsel
Culture and Change
  • Be a strategic HR partner for leaders in developing the company culture in Korea
  • Align HR policies, processes and offerings with the culture change
Leadership
  • Lead and coach the local HR team, provide expert guidance and develop the team members
  • Establish a trustful and collaborative working environment


Minimum Education and Qualification Required for the Position

  • Education: Bachelor or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business or Social Sciences
  • Working Experience: Profound HR experience in HR business partnering/country operations with over 12 years of experience; HR experience in Chemical industry is a plus
  • Professional Experience:
  • Sound knowledge of human resources and labor law
  • Exceptional communication, influencing and leadership skills
  • Experienced in change management, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion strategy
  • High organizational awareness
  • Good inter-cultural skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English & Native level of Korean
