Job Overview
The overall quality in every aspect of the services we provide has always been one of our core concerns and characteristics. This is especially true for the front-end and back-end code artifacts that we create. Our code is used in the most complex and demanding transactional projects in Greece and abroad. It is therefore imperative that it is fast, secure, reusable, and bug-free. We are seeking to strengthen our team with a Testing Engineer to take a lead on our Testing processes and procedures.
As a TE, you will work alongside our front-end and back-end software development teams to develop customized testing procedures for the company’s projects. You will also oversee the complete testing of these projects, from initial design of test cases, through to thorough testing, and final delivery. You are a high-energy individual with analytical skills and able to identify small problems within complex software systems. You are finally adept at processing information through coding, calculating, and verifying data.
Key Responsibilities
- Design test plans, procedures, scenarios, and scripts to accurately assess newly developed projects according to customer and project requirements.
- Develop testing protocol for various aspects, such as usability, performance, error and bug finding, regression testing, and implementation scenarios.
- Define testing methodology and procedures to ensure continuous improvement to software quality assurance standards.
- Identify, analyze and create detailed records of problems that appear during testing, such as software defects, bugs, functionality issues, and output errors, and work directly with software developers to find solutions and develop re-testing procedures.
- Track problems, resolutions, and bug fixes throughout testing, and create a comprehensive database of defects and successful mitigation techniques.
- Create detailed, step-by-step documentation of test procedures for each phase our projects to ensure replicability, compliance with standards, and growth of company knowledge base.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with front-end and back-end developers to facilitate quick resolution of problems and accurate documentation of successes.
- Become efficient in the use and parameterization of specilized testing tools for front-end and back-end code, for websites and mobile apps.
Skills and Attributes to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, computer science, or similar field.
- Excellent time-management skills and commitment to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of the principles and concepts of programming languages (e.g. C#, Javascript, HTML, etc).
- Very good knowledge of the English language. Ability to express well orally and in written in English.
- Manage multiple independent projects, delivering results within time and budget.
- Be diligent in identifying and executing testing and reporting processes.
- Comply to corporate processes and procedures.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and rigorous attention to detail.
- Ability to operate normally under pressure, a team player and a good communicator, are mandatory to succeed in your role.
- Quick learner to adopt new technologies and methodologies.
- Concepts and methodologies of Software Testing.
- Well-rounded experience with multiple operating systems, virtualization technologies, and test environments.
- Prior experience in an equivalent position, i.e. testing Web Applications frontend and backend.
- Experience with QA best practices and methodologies.
