Job Details


We are currently recruiting for a Support Engineer, to join us at our Nuremberg Office, the role will involve a hands-on approach, office based in the Nuremberg office.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the global IT team based out of the Nuremberg office.


Key responsibilities

What this role will involve:
  • Introduction and implementation of IT systems and IT support for Nuremberg, Neustadt and Domazlice sites to ensure a uniform approach is consistently applied across the whole AMS group.
  • Proactive communication and close collaboration with the wider global IT team to ensure support can be provided seamlessly, during holidays and absences.
  • Supporting the helpdesk to make sure tickets are prioritized and resolved to support business needs and meet compliance with agreed SLAs and KPIs.
  • Improve end-user training at Nuremberg, Neustadt and Domazlice sites.
  • Occasional travel to other locations, including the UK (valid passport required)

What we’re looking for:
  • Relevant professional experience in the IT sector (completed training or corresponding further education)
  • Joining a small team in the Nuremberg site, but supported by the wider global team, the role will be varied and require both 1st and 2nd Line support skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience with managing hardware including Servers, Desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Experience in managing Windows desktop & server operating systems, Microsoft 365 and applications used in a manufacturing environment.
  • Fluent in German and English, knowledge of Czech would be also an advantage.
